Terms of service

Last updated 15 October 2026

The service

StreetScout is a web app for recording and following up door-to-door visits. By creating an account you agree to these terms.

Your account

You sign in with your email. Keep access to it secure. You must be 18 or over and use StreetScout for lawful purposes.

Subscription and payments

Your data and your responsibilities

You own the records you create. You are responsible for how you collect and use personal information about the people you meet, including following the law on door-to-door selling, fundraising, canvassing, data protection and marketing that applies to your trade. The guides in the app are general information, not legal advice.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service, try to break or probe it, resell access, or use it to harass people or to break the law.

Availability and backups

We work hard to keep StreetScout running but cannot promise it will always be available or error free. Your data is stored on your phone, so keep a backup (Settings, Save backup) and do not rely on a single device. We are not liable for data lost because a phone was lost, reset or cleared.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud. Otherwise, to the extent the law allows, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for lost sales, lost profit or indirect loss.

Ending the service

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. If we ever close StreetScout we will give you notice and time to save a backup.

Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers in Scotland or Northern Ireland keep the protection of their local laws.
